The two main differences between air conditioning in electric vehicles compared with petrol and diesel vehicles are:

Safety

It is essential to be aware of the high voltage risks when working on electric vehicles.
Electric vehicles can operate on voltages of up to 800 volts compared to the 12 volts used by petrol and diesel vehicles.

Oil

The oil used in electric vehicle air conditioning systems must be non-conductive.
Failure to adhere to this could result in expensive component failure or electric shocks.
